Part-Time (~25 hours/week) | Non-Exempt The Finger Lakes Trail Conference is committed to building, protecting, and promoting a premier footpath system across New York State. With over 1,000 miles of scenic trails, FLTC connects communities, fosters outdoor recreation, and promotes stewardship of the land. Our work is made possible by a dedicated network of members, donors, and trail advocates. The Part-Time Director of Engagement is responsible for strengthening connections with FLTC’s members, donors, and the broader trail community. This person will optimize and complete the synchronization of internal systems. This includes leading digital communications, maintaining and solidifying our HubSpot CRM, managing our WordPress website content, and promoting the organization through marketing and social media. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who can work collaboratively with staff and volunteers, who brings strong digital skills and can represent FLTC at key events and meetings. Key ResponsibilitiesHubSpot CRM Management

Maintain, improve, and optimize FLTC’s HubSpot CRM to ensure accurate tracking of members, donors, and program participants, etc. Set up and monitor automated communications (renewals, acknowledgments, onboarding). Segment lists and generate reports to guide engagement efforts. Marketing, Communications & Social Media

Develop and schedule social media content to promote membership, events, and trail updates. Design and manage digital marketing campaigns, including membership campaigns, annual appeals, and others that align with FLTC’s goals. Produce regular email communications, monthly newsletters, and updates using HubSpot tools. Website Management

Maintain and update website content, including events, news, program pages, and membership info. Ensure the site remains user-friendly, accurate, and aligned with branding. Coordinate with volunteers as needed for technical support or larger improvements. Public Engagement & Representation

Represent FLTC alongside other team members at major events, including annual meetings, outreach events, and fundraisers. Support marketing and logistics for member mailings, events and campaigns. Help foster relationships with members, donors, and community partners. Internal Collaboration

Attend and contribute to regular staff meetings (virtual). Cross-train other internal processes like refunds, responding to organizational inquiries, and develop program swag like patches and stickers. Participate and report in select board and board committee meetings, providing updates and insights related to engagement and outreach. Qualifications

2+ years of experience in nonprofit marketing, CRM/database management, or digital communications. Proficient in HubSpot CRM (or similar platforms) for contact management, email marketing, and reporting. Strong written communication and social media content skills. Experience updating websites (WordPress or similar CMS). Ability to manage projects independently and meet deadlines. Ability to travel periodically for key events. Passion for outdoor recreation, conservation, or community engagement is a plus. Preferred Skills

Graphic design skills (e.g., Canva or Adobe Creative Suite). Familiarity with WordPress, HubSpot, SEO and web analytics. Experience in a membership-based or donor-supported organization. Hourly rate: $28–$33/hour, based on experience. Hours: ~25 hours per week, flexible schedule. Paid holidays and PTO, proportionate to hours worked.
