Google User Experience (UX) is made up of multi-disciplinary teams of UX Designers, Researchers, Writers, Content Strategists, Program Managers, and Engineers. We care deeply about the people who use our products. The UX team collaborates with engineering and product management to create industry-leading products that deliver value for users and Google’s businesses. As an Interaction Designer, you’ll rely on user-centered design methods to craft industry-leading user experiences—from concept to execution. You’ll collaborate with design partners to evolve the Google design language to build beautiful, innovative, inspired products that people love to use. In this role, you will define a cohesive product goal, leveraging generative AI to pioneer seamless user experiences that blend voice and text. In Google Search, we’re reimagining how people search for information—any way and anywhere—and you’ll contribute to solving complex engineering challenges while maintaining a universally accessible experience for billions of users. This role offers the opportunity to make an impact on billions of people globally. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $224,000-$315,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and factors including job-related skills, experience, and education or training. Influence stakeholders across organizations to gain support for design strategies. Lead the development of innovative design solutions to user, product, and business problems. Own a holistic design process, system or language across teams or products. Lead design solutions based on user insights, business needs, and industry trends for further business outcomes. Guide and provide direction to UX designers in creating design concepts for user research and testing. Minimum qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience. 10 years of experience in product design or UX. Experience in designing AI-powered products. Include a portfolio, website, or any other relevant link to your work in your resume (providing a viewable link or access instructions). Preferred qualifications
Master’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience. 15 years of experience in product design or UX. 6 years of experience leading design projects. 5 years of experience working with executive leaders. Ability to create visionary, "north-star" product experiences with high-fidelity prototyping. Seniority level
