Job Description
JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE
The Administrative Assistant will be the first point of contact for Delta Utilities, providing a professional and welcoming environment for visitors, clients, and employees. This position is responsible for managing front desk operations, handling incoming communications, and supporting administrative tasks to ensure the office runs efficiently. This is a full-time position based in New Orleans, Louisiana.
ACCOUNTABILITIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Greet and assist visitors with a warm and professional demeanor
- Maintain the appearance of the reception and common areas, monitor and maintain office supplies
- Answer, screen, and route incoming calls and emails to the appropriate departments
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail and courier deliveries
- Schedule and coordinate meetings or appointments as directed
- Perform general administrative tasks such as filing, photocopying, and data entry
- Work closely with Executive Assistant to ensure smooth operations
- Performs other job duties as assigned
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Minimum education required of the position
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum experience required of the position
- Previous receptionist, front desk, and/or retail experience preferred
- Experience with scheduling is a plus
Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities preferred of the position
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and familiarity with phone systems
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Friendly, approachable with a positive, customer-oriented attitude
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate discretion
- Reliable, punctual, and attentive to detail
Any certificates, licenses, etc. required for the position
- Certification in office administration is a plus
