Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse to provide high-quality care to patients in critical situations. This position requires the ability to assess patient needs, provide effective interventions, and manage emergency situations with confidence and proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Deliver quality patient care in high-stress environments.
• Identify and intervene in life-threatening situations promptly.
• Assess and implement the appropriate use of lifts for patient movement.
• Function effectively in emergency scenarios, utilizing strong problem-solving skills.
• Assume charge nurse duties as needed, demonstrating leadership and delegation skills.
• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of nursing principles to address clinical, teaching, mental, and spiritual needs.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Minimum of one year of acute care nursing experience required; Emergency Department experience preferred.
• Current New York State RN license.
• BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
• PALS certification required.
• Must complete a lethal dysrhythmia exam during probation and obtain defibrillation certification within six months of employment.
• IV, medication, and phlebotomy certification required during orientation.
• Travel experience is mandatory.
