RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 10-hour day shifts from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM
• 13-week assignment starting 10/6
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS
• Experience with EPIC electronic health record system
• Provide direct patient care across all age groups including pediatric, adolescent, geriatric, and general patient populations
• Perform focused assessments and reassessments to ensure optimal patient care
• Prepare surgical suites for procedures according to AORN Standards and hospital policy
• Provide safe patient care during OR stays according to AORN standards
• Knowledge of all surgical services department equipment required
• Perform treatments and procedures including cardiac monitoring and nursing care for patients receiving procedural sedation
• Document medications and nursing care accurately and timely in electronic health record
• Provide patient and family teaching based on identified learning needs
• Serve as professional member of Surgical Services team with positive attitude toward other departments
• Must live outside 100-mile radius of hospital
