RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work in a 30-bed Cardiovascular Unit providing medical, pre-operative, and post-operative surgical care
• Care for medium to high acuity patients who are stable but have high potential of becoming unstable
• Patient population includes young adults through geriatric patients
• Handle cardiac diagnoses, pre/post cardiac artery bypass surgery, carotid endarterectomy, acute myocardial infarction, post pacemaker insertion, arrhythmia detection, CHF, pneumonia and similar conditions
• Patient to nurse ratio shall not exceed 1:4
• May float to other units including Med/Surg as needed
• Current California RN license required
• Current BLS certification required
• Current ACLS certification required
• EPIC charting experience required
• 2 years of critical care experience required
• Must be W-2 employee of agency (facility only accepts W-2 agency staff)
• Provide higher level of nursing care than found on general patient care units
