RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend minimum required
• Patient ratios: Med Surg 6:1 (occasionally 7:1), ICU/Step Down 4:1
• Float to Emergency Department as needed
• ICU or Step Down/Progressive Care experience required
• At least 1 travel assignment prior required
• ICU experience preferred
• Required certifications: ACLS, NIHSS, BLS
• Work with 30-bed unit serving both Med Surg and ICU/Step Down patients
• Use Cerner EMR system
• Perform procedures including thoracentesis, ventilator management, arterial lines, central lines, and dressing changes
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Day shift staffing: 4-5 RNs and 2-3 PCTs
• Night shift staffing: 4-5 RNs and 2-3 PCTs
• Must demonstrate outgoing personality and strong teamwork skills

Facility:

This healthcare facility is a newly opened, state-of-the-art 30-bed critical access hospital featuring three operating rooms, dedicated endoscopy and radiology spaces, and a 17-bed emergency department with two trauma bays. The facility offers larger, more spacious patient rooms designed for patient comfort and provides comprehensive outpatient services including wound clinic, full laboratory, digital mammography, CT, MRI, nuclear medicine, and rehabilitation therapies. The hospital has received recognition as an Acute Stroke Ready hospital by the Joint Commission and multiple awards from the American Heart Association and American Stroke Association for stroke and diabetes care excellence.
