RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work in Cave Spring Freestanding Emergency Department with 8 beds and 23 RNs total
• Day shift options: 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM, or 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM
• Night shift: 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Patient ratio of 1:4
• Use GE Monitors, Nursecall system, small ventilator, Baxter pumps, and Zoll defibrillators
• Work with Meditech EMR system
• Required to have independent IV skills, EKG skills, and assessment skills
• Previous emergency room experience required
• Experience in freestanding ED setting preferred
• Independent mixing of pharmacy drugs such as Tpa and KCentra preferred
• Perform typical procedures including IVs, EKGs, and medication mixing
• Scan medications for every patient and every medication
• Required certifications: ACLS, PALS, BLS, and TNCC
• Must be team player, outgoing, and independent
• No floating to other areas
• Dress code: Navy or white scrubs
• Holiday work required
• Weekend rotation includes 3 weekend shifts (Fridays and Saturdays) per 4-week schedule
