Job Description
As a Security Guard - Manufacturing Access Control in Ellabell, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial and more. This is a Part-Time Security Officer role with shift availability through our exclusive Claim a Shift platform, allowing you to view and pick up open shifts based on your availability. You will gain valuable site experience across various industries while building a schedule that works for you. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in supporting a secure environment at a leading manufacturing and industrial location. Your responsibilities will include monitoring entry and exit points, verifying credentials, and assisting employees and visitors with access-related inquiries. By conducting routine patrols and maintaining a visible presence, you will help deter security-related incidents and foster a welcoming atmosphere. Exceptional customer service and strong communication skills are essential as you interact with individuals throughout the site. What You’ll Do
- Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
- Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
- Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
- Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
- Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise
Responsibilities
- Monitor and control access to the premises, verifying credentials of employees, visitors, and contractors to help deter unauthorized entry
- Provide customer service to individuals at the location by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and responding to inquiries or concerns
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and perimeter to deter potential security-related issues and identify irregularities
- Document and report any suspicious activity, security-related incidents, or hazards encountered during patrols or access control duties
- Support emergency response activities as required, including assisting with evacuations and/or coordinating with first responders
- Maintain a visible Allied Universal presence to deter unwanted activity and promote a secure environment within the manufacturing and industrial location

- Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available
Minimum Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- Background investigation as required by federal, state, and local laws
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws
- Drug screen as permitted by law
- Licensing requirements as required by state/local laws
- A valid driver’s license for driving positions only
