Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Electrician with experience in utility work, specializing in both underground and overhead systems. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical distribution systems, while following industry standards, safety protocols, and utility regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Install, repair, and maintain electrical distribution systems for both underground and overhead utility projects.
• Perform troubleshooting and diagnostics on power lines, transformers, switches, and related electrical equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and work orders to execute projects efficiently.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and equipment required for underground trenching and overhead line work.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA standards, utility safety rules, and company policies at all times.
• Collaborate with lineworkers, project managers, and other team members to complete projects safely and on schedule.
• Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure system reliability.
• Document work performed and maintain accurate records for utility reporting.

Qualifications:

• Journeyman Electrician License or equivalent experience (required/preferred based on state requirements).
• Proven experience in both underground and overhead electrical utility work.
• Strong knowledge of electrical codes, safety standards, and utility regulations.
• Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces, and in varying outdoor conditions.
• Proficient in using testing equipment, tools, and machinery related to utility electrical work.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Valid driver’s license; CDL preferred.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Ability to climb poles, work from bucket trucks, and enter trenches or confined areas as required.

This role involves fieldwork across utility projects, including construction, maintenance, and emergency response assignments. Travel and overtime may be required based on project needs.
