Manufacturing Manager

Manufacturing Manager Reports To: VP of Supply Chain Job Summary: The Manufacturing Manager is responsible for overseeing daily production operations, ensuring that blending, bagging, and packaging processes meet safety, quality, and efficiency standards. This role leads the production team, manages scheduling, optimizes workflow, and partners with Quality Assurance to ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and customer specifications. What You'll Do: Plan, organize, and direct manufacturing activities to meet production goals. Oversee blending, bagging, packaging, and labeling processes for nutraceutical and botanical products. Ensure compliance with GMP, FDA, and other regulatory standards. Manage and maintain production schedules, staffing levels, and resource allocation. Collaborate with Quality Assurance to ensure product quality, safety, and consistency. Develop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce waste. Ensure all production staff are properly trained and adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Monitor equipment performance, coordinate maintenance, and ensure minimal downtime. Track and report on production metrics, including yields, throughput, and efficiency. Drive a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement on the production floor. Partner with Supply Chain to ensure availability of raw materials and packaging supplies. What You Bring: Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Operations Management, Engineering, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience). 2+ years of experience in manufacturing or production management, preferably in nutraceuticals, food & beverage, or pharmaceuticals. Strong knowledge of GMP, FDA, and industry-specific regulations. Proven track record of leading production teams in a fast-paced environment. Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills. Strong leadership and communication abilities. Experience with ERP or production management systems a plus.
