We are currently seeking an Inventory Specialist for our Arizona location, conveniently situated approximately 10 minutes from Glendale, AZ. Scope of Position:
The Inventory Specialist is responsible for managing, monitoring, and maintaining accurate inventory levels to support the production and distribution of nutraceutical products. This role ensures all raw materials, packaging components, and finished goods are properly tracked, stored, and documented in compliance with company standards, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and FDA regulations. The Inventory Specialist plays a critical role in supporting production efficiency and maintaining supply chain accuracy. Principal Responsibilities: Receive, inspect, and verify all incoming raw materials, packaging components, and finished goods against purchase orders. Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records in the ERP or warehouse management system. Perform routine cycle counts and assist with year-end physical inventory counts. Organize and maintain stock in designated storage areas, ensuring proper labeling, rotation (FIFO/FEFO), and compliance with GMP standards. Collaborate with production, purchasing, and quality assurance teams to ensure inventory availability and accuracy. Track and reconcile inventory discrepancies; investigate and resolve issues in a timely manner. Monitor inventory levels and report shortages, excesses, or damaged goods to management. Support production scheduling by staging materials and ensuring timely availability for manufacturing runs. Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized warehouse and inventory space. Assist with preparing inventory-related reports and audits as required. Competencies: Strong understanding of inventory management principles and ERP/WMS systems. Knowledge of GMP, FDA, and regulatory requirements in a production environment. Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook). Ability to operate warehouse equipment. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: N/A Supervisory Responsibility: There are no supervisory responsibilities within this position. Work Environment: This position requires regular interaction with the production floor, warehouse, and office settings. The Inventory Specialist may be exposed to raw materials, powders, and packaging components. Proper use of PPE is required. Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Must have manual dexterity to put parts or pieces together quickly and accurately. Must have excellent hand-eye coordination. Requires ability to walk, climb, carry materials, stoop, kneel, bend at waist. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm. Some overtime required as business needs dictate. Travel: There is no travel required within this position. Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree in supply chain, logistics, or related field preferred. 2+ years of inventory control, warehouse, or production experience; nutraceutical, food, or pharmaceutical industry experience preferred.
