About the Role Responsible for managing the end-to-end closing process for commercial real estate loans. This includes reviewing loan documentation, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring regulatory compliance, and facilitating funding and post-closing activities.
Responsibilities Review approved loan files to identify and satisfy pre-closing conditions; update loan origination system (LOS) accordingly. Examine loan documentation for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with regulatory and internal standards. Calculate financial figures and prepare closing documents. Review tax searches and validate escrow holdback amounts prepared by legal counsel. Assess hazard insurance certificates for compliance and escrow accuracy. Ensure consistency of loan terms across all documentation. Communicate with internal departments and external parties to resolve discrepancies and ensure smooth closings. Monitor and track closing timelines to ensure deadlines are met. Coordinate with underwriters, loan officers, legal counsel, and other stakeholders to finalize documentation and facilitate closings. Review settlement statements and disbursement schedules for accuracy. Initiate loan funding via wire transfers and system entries. Conduct post-closing reviews to confirm completeness of loan binders. Provide support to team members and contribute to a collaborative work environment.
