CNC Machine Operator Location:
Batavia, IL Shifts:
1st Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM 2nd Shift: 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM Pay Rate:
$22.00 – $24.00 per hour (negotiable) Responsibilities
Operate CNC machines, including horizontal and vertical mills and lathes; familiar with a wide range of production operations Read and interpret complex prints, draw sketches, and make recommendations for correcting prints Select appropriate feeds and speeds, set up jobs according to prints and set-up procedures, pull/adjust fixtures Participate in improvements in production, service, quality, and safety Work closely with multiple departments to complete products Ensure that quality performance meets or exceeds customer expectations Use all communication channels to share information quickly and accurately Ensure accuracy of inventory transactions; complete documentation appropriate to the job; determine whether tooling/fixtures are available or find approved substitutes Perform in-process inspections Have flexibility to work in other departments as cross-trained and required Be safety conscious Other duties as assigned Qualifications
High school diploma Must have experience with Mazak Effective communication skills (verbal, written, and active listening) at all organizational levels and functions Strong math, measurement, and written/verbal comprehension skills Ability to measure using established tolerances (micrometer, calipers); understand quality specifications Ability to read basic prints, drawings, charts, and graphs Ability to understand manufacturing orders, routings, special changes, and other miscellaneous forms Proficient in using production equipment, hand tools, testing devices, and other miscellaneous tools/equipment Strong mechanical aptitude, analytical, and problem-solving skills Strong teamwork skills Must be able to lift 50 pounds Ability to plan, prioritize, organize, and demonstrate attention to detail Computer literate Contact Information
