Elementary Speech-Language Pathologist (Maternity Leave Assignment)
Our special education team is expanding and we’re ready to move quickly! Interviews are already being scheduled, with offers extended shortly afterward.
Position Overview:
This full-time assignment will cover both preschool and elementary students in two phases: September–October and October–January. The Speech-Language Pathologist will provide assessment, intervention, and progress monitoring services to support students’ speech, language, and communication growth in ways that enhance their learning and social interactions.
Whether you’re an experienced SLP or currently completing your Clinical Fellowship Year, this role offers the chance to contribute your skills while benefiting from structured guidance, mentorship, and ASHA-compliant supervision.
As part of this position, you’ll collaborate closely with families, teachers, and school staff to ensure students have access to the tools and support they need to thrive. If you’re passionate about making communication accessible for every learner, this is a chance to make a meaningful impact.
Requirements Qualified candidates must hold an Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a Speech-Language Pathology endorsement, along with an active Illinois SLP license. A Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders is required. While the ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) is highly preferred, it is not a requirement, and Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) applicants are encouraged to apply.
