About the Role: The Material Handler plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient flow of materials within the manufacturing environment. This position is responsible for the accurate handling, storage, and distribution of products, which directly impacts the overall productivity of the operations. The Material Handler will utilize various equipment and systems to manage inventory effectively, ensuring that all items are picked, packed, and shipped in a timely manner. Attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols are essential to minimize errors and maintain a safe working environment. Ultimately, the success of the Material Handler contributes to customer satisfaction and the smooth operation of the supply chain. Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Proven experience in material handling or warehouse operations. Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks. Preferred Qualifications: Familiarity with warehouse management systems and bar code scanning technology. Experience in shipping and receiving processes. Certification in operating material handling equipment. Responsibilities: Operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trucks to move products within the warehouse. Pick and pack orders accurately according to shipping requirements and ensure timely dispatch. Receive incoming shipments, inspect for damages, and update inventory records in the warehouse management system. Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety standards and protocols. Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow and assist in inventory management tasks. Skills: The required skills for this position, such as proficiency in material handling equipment, are essential for safely and efficiently moving products throughout the warehouse. Order picking skills ensure that the right items are selected and prepared for shipment, which is critical for maintaining customer satisfaction. Knowledge of shipping and receiving processes allows the Material Handler to effectively manage incoming and outgoing inventory, minimizing delays. Familiarity with warehouse management systems enhances the ability to track inventory levels and streamline operations. Additionally, skills in using bar code technology improve accuracy in order fulfillment and inventory management.
2:40 p.m. - 11:00 p.m. Overtime before or after shift as needed. 2nd Shift premium is $.45 per hour
