We're seeking an HR Coordinator to support the HR department with various administrative and operational tasks including recruitment, payroll processing and leave of absence. This role ensures smooth HR processes and positive employee experience. This role serves as the first point of contact for employees, ensuring day-to-day HR needs are met and operations run smoothly.
The position also has an active role in ensuring all human resource functions are complying with local, state and federal regulations. They support payroll with workflow preparation and distribution of biweekly payrolls, participation in payroll computations, withholding, and remittances, and resolution of payroll issues and concerns.

Assist in posting job openings, coordinate interviews, and conduct initial candidate screenings. Benefits & Leave of Absence Administration
Address leave of absence inquiries to ensure timely and accurate resolutions. Maintain contact with employees and management to facilitate updates on Leave of Absence and return-to-work communication for all employees. Assist with employee benefits administration, including enrollment, changes, and inquiries. Assist with timely assistance to employees with questions or concerns about their benefits. Payroll Management
Analyze, prepare and input payroll data for payroll as assigned. Audit payroll data entry and employee status changes to ensure accuracy prior to payroll submission Utilize payroll processing software to produce accurate and timely payroll Produce manual checks as needed Assists store personnel and applicable staff in research and resolution of payroll transactions as applicable Stays abreast of multi-state regulatory requirements and company policies Pull direct deposit rejection reports and submit stop payments and direct deposit retrievals as needed; inform employees of account information errors and any updates needed General HR support
Provides administrative support to the Human Resources department, performing duties such as maintaining employee records and unemployment Redirecting HR related calls or distribute correspondence to the appropriate person of the team Prepare HR-related reports as needed Manage HR email inbox inquiries and follow-ups as needed The HR Coordinator will assist with employee relations Complete employment verification requests and other HR documentation as needed Other duties as assigned. Experience & Education
Good understanding of full-cycle recruiting 3+ years' experience processing multi-state payroll utilizing Workday or other similar payroll application Thorough knowledge of payroll tax laws and regulations, particularly Fair Labor Standards Act, Equal Employment, and Affirmative Action regulations, and IRS code pertaining to payroll issues Expertise with overtime, withholdings, pre/post tax treatment of benefits, filing requirements, electronic filing of W-2s, completion of all applicable forms, including Forms 940, 941, etc. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations Knowledge of FMLA/ADA/Military/etc. leaves of absence Competencies

MS Office (Intermediate Excel experience) Proficient knowledge of payroll software: Workday preferred
