EHS Engineer
to strengthen our safety management systems across
manufacturing and industrial construction environments . This role is both strategic and hands on ensuring compliance with
OSHA, EPA, and ISO 45001 , while driving continuous improvement and cultivating a proactive safety culture on the shop floor and beyond.
What You’ll Do Maintain and enhance the
Safety Management System (SMS)
aligned with OSHA, EPA, ISO standards. Audit and inspect manufacturing and construction activities, ensuring
procedural compliance . Lead
incident investigations , track corrective actions, and verify closure. Review and update
safety policies, SOPs, and work instructions . Deliver training programs, toolbox talks, and guidance for supervisors and teams. Manage
safety management platforms , digital documentation, and compliance records. Collaborate with leadership to align safety systems with operational excellence. Drive engagement in
hazard reporting, near-miss tracking, and safety observations . Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Compliance rate on procedures Audit pass rate (internal & external) Year-over-year incident reduction Corrective action closure time Training completion rate Employee participation in safety observations
What You Bring Bachelor’s degree
in Safety, Engineering, Industrial Technology, or equivalent experience 5+ years
in EHS within manufacturing, fabrication, or industrial construction Strong expertise in
OSHA, EPA, and ISO 45001 frameworks Professional certifications preferred:
CSP, ASP, CHST, ISO 45001 Lead Auditor Hands-on experience with
machine guarding, audits, high-risk task assessments Strong leadership and communication skills with ability to influence at all levels Proficiency in
Microsoft Office
and
safety management software
Work Environment Split between
office and manufacturing facilities Frequent exposure to
noise, dust, heat, heavy machinery, and construction-type activities PPE required on the floor (safety glasses, hard hat, steel-toed shoes, hearing protection) Routine travel
