Job Overview We are seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations, ensuring high-quality food preparation, and maintaining a positive work environment. This position requires a strong background in the food industry, excellent culinary skills, and the ability to lead a team effectively. Duties Assist the Head Chef in menu planning and development, ensuring creativity and seasonal relevance. Supervise kitchen staff during food preparation and cooking processes to maintain quality standards. Manage inventory control by monitoring stock levels, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the kitchen environment. Oversee shift management, including scheduling staff and delegating tasks efficiently. Train and mentor junior kitchen staff to enhance their culinary skills and knowledge. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service during busy periods. Participate in banquet preparations and special events as required. Requirements Proven experience in a food service or culinary role, preferably as a Sous Chef or similar position. Strong knowledge of kitchen operations, including inventory control and shift management. Excellent cooking skills with a passion for creating high-quality dishes. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong leadership skills with experience in team management within a restaurant setting. Familiarity with banquet service and large-scale food preparation is advantageous. A culinary degree or relevant certification is preferred but not mandatory.
