Salary : $80,000 - $100,000

We are seeking a highly skilled and creative Interior Designer to join our team in Charleston, SC. The ideal candidate will also bring experience or interest in K-12, higher education, and healthcare design , contributing to a diverse portfolio of impactful projects. This role is perfect for a design professional who thrives in collaborative settings and is passionate about creating environments that support learning, healing, and community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage interior design projects from concept through completion, with a focus on higher education, K-12, and healthcare environments.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and stakeholders to develop integrated, user-centered design solutions.
  • Prepare and present design concepts, space plans, material selections, and FF&E specifications.
  • Oversee the production of construction documents and ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards.
  • Coordinate with vendors and consultants to maintain design integrity throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Participate in client meetings, site visits, and project reviews.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Interior Design or a related field.
  • NCIDQ Certification is required.
  • Minimum of 6 years of professional interior design experience, with a strong portfolio of higher education projects, K-12 projects, or healthcare projects.
  • Proficiency in design software such as Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and SketchUp.
  • Strong knowledge of building codes, ADA requirements, and sustainable design practices.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and project management skills.
  • Preferably located in Charleston, SC, or willing to relocate.
