A growing biotech company in Watertown, MA is seeking a Bioanalytical Sciences Contractor to support assay development and execution for oncology programs.
The role requires experience developing and running assays (particularly MSD and ELISA), with a focus on biologics such as T-cell engagers or antibodies. This position offers the opportunity to contribute directly to immune-oncology research by supporting both method development and hands-on laboratory work. The position is part-time, 20 hours per week onsite, with an initial 3-month contract and potential for extension.
Position Responsibilities: Design, develop, and execute bioanalytical assays, with emphasis on MSD and ELISA Support biologics programs including T-cell engagers, bispecific antibodies, and other antibody-based therapeutics Perform both assay development and routine assay execution to generate high-quality data Collaborate cross-functionally with clinical, translational, and research teams to support program advancement Ensure scientific rigor, accuracy, and compliance in assay development and reporting Contribute to immune-oncology research through the application of bioanalytical and immunological methods They specifically highlighted MSD and ELISA assays. This job will be 90/10 lab to bench - you will be developing the assay and then turning around and running it
Candidate Requirements: BS, MS, or PhD degree in biological sciences, immunology, or a related discipline Minimum of 5 years’ experience in bioanalytical assay development and execution for biologics Hands-on expertise with MSD and ELISA; experience with cell-based assays is a plus Background working with immune-oncology therapeutics including antibodies and T-cell engagers Demonstrated ability to design, optimize, and execute assays independently Familiarity with regulated environments (GCLP/GMP) preferred Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across teams
