SugarLand client is looking for a bilingual direct hire Payroll Coordinator. Process weekly payroll for hourly and salaried employees (650 employees, all local). Verify timesheets and pull hours worked from field employees using timekeeping systems. Ensure payroll accuracy, including deductions for benefits like 401(k) and HSA contributions. Collaborate with the HR and Accounting teams for payroll audits and issue resolution. Maintain compliance with local, state, and federal payroll regulations. Prepare detailed and automated reports (hours worked, earnings, deductions, etc.) using reporting tools like Excel, HRIS reporting, or other software. Assist in the preparation of year-end payroll documents such as W-2s. Learn and manage HRIS systems and suggest improvements to automate manual processes. Act as a point of contact for payroll queries or concerns, communicating fluently in (Insert Languages). Qualifications: Proven experience in payroll, finance, or accounting roles. Fluent in (English and Spanish). Knowledge of payroll software and time-tracking systems. Strong technical skills, including proficiency in Excel and reporting tools. Ability to learn and integrate HRIS platforms to streamline processes. Deep understanding of payroll compliance and regulations.
