Summary The Director of Product Marketing will lead Brivo’s product marketing strategy for our cloud-based SaaS platform and hardware solutions. This role will drive competitive positioning and customer messaging across our integrated software and hardware offerings. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully launching complex technology products, building compelling market narratives, and enabling sales teams to drive revenue growth in the B2B SaaS and hardware technology space.

This position is based at our Bethesda, Maryland headquarters. Employees are expected to work on-site at least 2 days per week. Occasional travel may include participating in company meetings, industry trade shows, and other related events.

Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Planning

Develop and execute comprehensive product marketing strategies for both software and hardware product lines

Lead go-to-market planning for new product launches, feature releases, and hardware integrations

Partner with product management to influence roadmap priorities based on market insights and customer feedback

Create and maintain competitive intelligence frameworks and positioning strategies

Conduct market research to identify customer needs, market trends, and competitive landscape

Develop detailed buyer personas and customer journey mapping for different market segments

Analyze product usage data and customer feedback to inform marketing strategies and product development

Monitor competitive activities and maintain comprehensive competitive battle cards

Create compelling product messaging and value propositions that resonate across technical and business audiences

Develop marketing collateral, including sales decks, case studies, whitepapers, and demo scripts

Collaborate with content marketing to create thought leadership content and technical documentation

Ensure consistent messaging across all customer touchpoints and marketing channels

Design and deliver sales training programs on product positioning, competitive differentiation, and objection handling

Create sales tools and resources, including proposal templates, ROI calculators, and reference architectures

Support key sales opportunities with custom presentations and technical marketing expertise

Build and lead a high-performing product marketing team

Mentor and develop product marketing managers and specialists

Establish product marketing processes, methodologies, and best practices

Foster a culture of data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement

Qualifications Experience & Education

8+ years of product marketing experience in B2B SaaS or technology companies

3+ years of experience marketing integrated software solutions

Proven track record of successful product launches and go-to-market execution

Experience in cloud infrastructure, enterprise software, or related technology sectors

Previous leadership experience managing product marketing teams

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Engineering, or related field

MBA or advanced degree preferred

Industry certifications in relevant technology areas are a plus

Technical & Analytic al Skills

Strong understanding of cloud computing, SaaS business models, and enterprise technology

Experience with hardware product marketing, including technical specifications and integration challenges

Proficiency with marketing analytics tools, CRM systems, and product analytics platforms

Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business value propositions

Data-driven approach to measuring marketing effectiveness and ROI

Strategic & Communication Skills

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present to C-level executives

Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities

Experience developing positioning strategies and competitive differentiation

Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, dynamic environments

Cross-functional collaboration skills with the ability to influence without authority

Leadership & Interpersonal Skills

Proven ability to build and lead high-performing teams

Strong project management and organizational skills

Experience in coaching and developing marketing professionals

Collaborative leadership style with a focus on results and accountability

Adaptability and resilience in rapidly changing technology markets

Preferred Skills

Experience with product-led growth strategies

Background in technology partners and ecosystem development

Knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements for enterprise technology

Experience with international market expansion and localization

Previous startup or high-growth company experience

The compensation package for this full-time position includes a base salary range of $170,000 - $190,000 USD. Individual compensation packages are based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, training, and market conditions.
