As a Senior UX Designer within the Consumer Product Office of UHC, you will work closely with various studio disciplines, design leadership, principle designers, strategists, product and business stakeholders to create compelling UI/UX designs for various features and experiences. You will have the flexibility to work remotely from anywhere within the U.S. as you tackle challenging problems. Responsibilities
SME/Take ownership for a large feature/experience Build and effectively communicate the design vision with high quality visual artifacts such as wireframes, mockups, interactive prototypes, storyboards, etc. Partner with research and strategy teams in the design and fielding of research studies, then translate user needs and research findings into usable design improvements and/or new opportunities Interpret insights (analytics, VoC, market feedback, etc.) to anticipate user needs and proactively design innovative solutions Continually advocate for the user and ensure there is a shared understanding of the problems being solved Guide discussion and critique of work, solicit requirements from stakeholders, and help deliver on the vision Actively engage in team culture and contribute to learning and presentation opportunities across the design organization Navigate ambiguity and changing user needs with a self-motivated mindset for solving complex problems Provide design recommendations based on technical feasibility, usability findings, accessibility, legal considerations and design best practices Demonstrate curiosity and a growth mindset to support a product design environment of learning and innovation Leverage best-practice design principles and trends to contribute insights and stellar user experiences Be a trusted design partner in a cross-functional team (designers, engineers, product, researchers, etc.), delivering designs on time and to high quality Collaborate with the Design System team to contribute reusable design components Consider health equity in research and design decisions (including disability status, health literacy, demographics, cultural backgrounds) to improve healthcare access for all members Manage multiple projects simultaneously Required Qualifications
4+ years of hands-on experience with interaction design and/or UX design 4+ years of experience working with multiple teams and competing priorities 4+ years of experience incorporating user feedback in the design process (user research, NPS, Voice of the Customer) 4+ years of experience with Figma 2+ years of experience working in cross-functional teams 2+ years of experience presenting to stakeholders Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with Agile teams including planning to support roadmaps, capacity, and sprint planning 2+ years of experience building and/or utilizing personas to inform design decisions Experience leveraging AI tools to enhance work productivity Experience working in healthcare Information architecture experience Experience working in a large corporate environment Bias toward action and strategic thinking to improve processes and operations Resource management and collaboration skills Willingness to learn, pivot and grow Ability to drive a team and leaders through initiative scopes and deliverables Compensation and Benefits
Pay is based on factors including local labor markets, education, work experience, and certifications. In addition to salary, benefits include a comprehensive package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (eligibility applies). Salary range for this role is $89,900 to $160,600 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all applicable minimum wage laws.
