**Position is on-site in Saint Peters, MO - Monday - Friday**

Job Purpose:

The Producer/Editor is responsible for reviewing, refining, and preparing written content for publication. This role develops and implements editing strategies that align with the GSM Outdoors's tone, style, and quality standards. The Editor evaluates and selects suitable materials, collaborates with writers and other contributors, and ensures the final content is clear, accurate, and engaging. The Editor also manages deadlines and maintains consistency across all publications while ensuring compliance with company guidelines. Summary of Essential Job Duties: Integrate and adopt pre-defined workflows to maintain and expand existing footage libraries. Organize, catalog, and back up pre-existing hunt footage for easy access. Edit long-form content with a strong focus on storytelling and documentary-style narratives. Produce and edit reels, shorts, and podcast clips tailored for various platforms. Ensure all edits meet brand guidelines, tone, and quality standards. Collaborate with producers, videographers, and other team members to refine content. Stay updated on current editing trends, tools, and best practices to enhance output. Incorporate graphics, animations, and sound design to enhance the viewing experience. Manage multiple editing projects simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines. Provide creative input during pre-production and post-production to improve storytelling.

Requirements: Skills/Qualifications:

Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions Proven work experience as a video editor Solid experience with digital technology and editing software packages (e.g. Adobe Creative Suites; Premiere, Photoshop, Demonstrable video editing ability with a strong portfolio Thorough knowledge of timing, motivation and continuity Professional experience with Adobe Creative Suite, including Adobe Premiere Pro and Media Encoder\Working knowledge of After Effects, Photoshop, and Illustrator Proficient in Microsoft Office for project coordination and documentation Familiarity with operating and maintaining video production equipment Ability to integrate software and equipment knowledge to streamline the editing workflow

Required Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in production or completion of a technical program specializing in Production preferred; alternatively, self-taught with a strong, proven portfolio. Minimum of two years’ experience working with Adobe Premiere Pro (Adobe Creative Suite). At least one year of hands-on experience with Adobe Photoshop.
