Overview Litigation Associate Attorney – Palo Alto

Direct Counsel is seeking a Litigation Associate to join a nationally recognized law firm in Palo Alto. The firm’s Litigation & Dispute Resolution practice handles a broad range of complex commercial litigation matters across U.S. state and federal courts. Responsibilities
Provide strategic legal counsel on a full range of commercial litigation matters. Draft motions, pleadings, and legal memoranda. Manage discovery, including document review and production. Prepare for, take, and defend depositions. Conduct legal research using tools such as Westlaw or Lexis. Communicate directly with clients regarding case strategy, status, and discovery. Qualifications
Juris Doctor (JD) degree and admission to practice law in good standing in a U.S. jurisdiction. Minimum of 3 years of experience in commercial litigation, including : At least 1 year handling U.S. civil litigation in state and federal courts. Experience using Westlaw or Lexis for legal research. Proficiency with e-discovery tools, including Relativity. At least 6 months of experience working on data privacy class action matters. Location: Palo Alto, CA Compensation Range: $225,000 – $420,000 / year, depending on experience.
