Overview MHW Search has exclusively partnered with a Real Estate Investment & Development firm in Houston that is in search of a Managing Director of Capital Markets to lead equity fundraising, investor relations, and debt sourcing across their expanding pipeline. The firm currently has roughly 100 properties in development across retail and multifamily in Texas and Florida.
Key Responsibilities
Lead equity capital formation for the firm's Capital Partners across retail and multifamily developments. Cultivate relationships with family offices, private equity, institutional investors, and high-net-worth partners. Oversee deal structuring, offering memoranda, and ongoing investor reporting. Originate, negotiate, and close construction loans, bridge financing, and permanent debt facilities. Maintain strong lender relationships with banks, life companies, and debt funds active in Texas and Florida. Build and institutionalize the firm's investor reporting platform. Manage quarterly updates, capital calls, distributions, and investor communications. Partner with firm's executive team to shape growth strategy across development verticals. Provide capital markets insight into site selection, underwriting, and asset disposition decisions. Mentor junior team members and build out a scalable capital markets function. Qualifications
10–20 years of progressive experience in commercial real estate capital markets, investment banking, or private equity. Proven track record of raising equity and securing debt for ground-up retail and multifamily developments. Established network of equity investors and debt providers in Texas, Florida, and other high-growth markets. Strong technical skills in financial modeling, underwriting, and structuring joint ventures. Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills; confident presenting to sophisticated investors.
