Job Description: You will setup, maintain, operate and load the Trumpf Fiber Laser cutting machine. Some of your responsibilities are loading programs and calculating machine specs and parameters based on the thickness and type of material use, loading and unloading material on the machine. Another role is to keep the area organized and clean. Your duties have you set up and operate the equipment and assist other machine operators. As a laser machine operator, you work in a fast-paced environment, so you must be able to follow complicated instruction closely and maintain a safe working environment. Job Duties: Set up and operate the Trumpf Fiber Laser Perform material handling functions, including loading material for job runs. Measure completed work pieces to verify conformance Read work orders to determine specifications, such as materials to be used, locations of cutting lines, or dimensions and tolerances. Maintain shop, tools and other equipment. Special Skills: Requires 1-2 years of CNC Laser/ Plasma experience in a metal manufacturing environment Understanding of flat print drawings is desired Forklift experience Must be able to lift 70+ lbs., stand on feet for 8 or more hours, work in hot environment, must have a way to commute to Bradley, IL daily Must be an independent worker who can be given tasks to complete without constant supervision after initial training Work Experience Required: CNC Laser: 5 years Laser Operator: 5 years Benefits: 401K & company match Medical insurance Dental insurance Vision plan Life insurance and disability You should be proficient in: Mechanical Troubleshooting Skills CAD Software Machine Setups for Production Runs Troubleshooting CNC Machines Meets Physical Requirements Excellent Communication Skills Experience in a Manufacturing Environment Blueprint Reading Machines & technologies you'll use: CNC Laser Cutter (Trumpf) CNC Plasma Cutter (Messer) Overhead Crane Forklifts
