RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Weekend requirement: 3 weekends in a 6-week schedule
• Patient ratios may be 5-6:1 depending on floor assignment and patient acuity
• Required to float to any floor of the facility to care for patients within skill set based on need and staffing
• One year recent nursing experience preferred
• Current Louisiana or COMPACT RN license required
• Current BLS via AHA required
• Current ACLS via AHA required
• Provide routine and complex nursing care utilizing the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention and evaluation
• Address psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
• Administer medications and treatments using appropriate protocols while monitoring for side effects and effectiveness
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided
• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, families, and caregivers
• Make appropriate assignments and delegate to other care providers
• Complete annual competency verification requirements
