Registered Nurse (RN) - Night Shift, 3x12 Schedule

Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) maintains the delivery of quality care by assuring the nursing care plan is followed. The RN supervises Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and orientees. This position emphasizes a focus on patient and employee safety as a priority, creating a supportive environment for all.

Responsibilities

• Perform a nursing assessment on all patients within 8 hours of admission to develop individualized care plans.
• Identify and address the teaching needs and goals of patients in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
• Document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and in a timely manner.
• Participate in the patient rehabilitation program and provide direct patient care utilizing the nursing process.
• Initiate discharge planning on admission and provide patient education accordingly.
• Ensure effective communication regarding changes in patient status among care providers.
• Provide direction and supervision of ancillary nursing personnel, making effective use of problem-solving techniques.
• Contribute positively to the functioning of the unit through calm direction and team building activities.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• BLS Certification required prior to the first shift.
• ACLS certification required prior to the first shift (for specific locations).
• Minimum two (2) years of bedside clinical experience highly desired.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

This position offers a night shift schedule, working 3x12-hour shifts.
