Shift: 10 hours shifts, 4 shifts a week

Expected Hours: 40 hours a week

Job Type: Contract , 13 weeks

Note:- Must have Ortho Experience and Neuro OR Experience (Level 1 or 2 experience)

Job Overview:

A Registered Nurse (RN) – Operating Room is responsible for providing safe, effective, and compassionate care to patients before, during, and after surgical procedures. The OR Nurse collaborates closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, surgical technologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes and adherence to surgical protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess patients preoperatively, verify documentation, and prepare the operating room with necessary equipment and supplies.
  • Maintain sterile field and ensure adherence to infection control and safety protocols.
  • Function as circulating or scrub nurse during surgery — monitoring patients, assisting the surgical team, and managing instruments/supplies.
  • Document intraoperative care, maintain accurate counts of sponges/instruments, and support anesthesia providers as needed.
  • Assist with safe transfer to recovery (PACU), provide hand-off reports, and monitor for immediate postoperative complications.

Required Qualifications:

  • NE or Compact state RN License
  • 2 years of RN OR experience
  • BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA),
