Job Description

This position requires a skilled Medical Surgical Telemetry Nurse to provide care for patients in a telemetry unit. The nurse will work with a diverse patient population, including those with medical, surgical, and progressive care needs.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient-centered care in a busy medical-surgical telemetry environment.
• Monitor patients with telemetry requirements, documenting all activities accurately.
• Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team, including providers and support staff.
• Engage in proactive communication, supporting patient needs and addressing any concerns promptly.
• Participate in emergency response procedures, including rapid response teams.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding care plans and health management.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in Medical Surgical Telemetry.
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
• NIH Stroke Scale certification is required prior to start.
• Experience with EPIC documentation system within the last 2 years is non-negotiable.
• Progressive care experience is preferred but not mandatory.
