Trilogie Bioscience
About Trilogie Bioscience, Inc
Founded in 2024, Trilogie Bioscience leverages decades of Ubiquitin-Proteasome-System (UPS) experience to support the Targeted Protein Degradation (TPD) industry, non-TPD therapeutic approaches, and the UPS academic community.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated Scientist to join a company on the ground floor. We aim to produce the best quality UPS protein reagents, assays, and custom services. Your contributions will have an immediate impact. We are seeking collaborative, relentless problem solvers who share our passion for making an impact.
Position: The Scientist, Assay Development must have a proven track record and expertise with in vitro assay development and liquid handling automation. He/she will have extensive knowledge of the Ubiquitin Proteasome System (UPS) and familiarity with Targeted Protein Degradation (TPD) and will possess significant experience working with recombinant proteins.
Key Responsibilities
: ·
Design, develop and optimize robust, in vitro ubiquitylation, deubiquitylation and proximity assays using Alpha, HTRF, FP, luminescence, spectral shift and other techniques. ·
Implement quality control standards for assay performance, including dynamic range, limit of detection, precision and linearity. ·
Set up, operate and maintain infrastructure (liquid handling, automation) to support low-to-medium throughput in-house CRO assay services. ·
Execute screening campaigns for clients, including sample preparation, reagent handling, and assay execution. Validate assay performance through quality control parameters. Analyze and interpret experimental data and prepare detailed reports and documentation. ·
Work with Product Development Team to design recombinant proteins that will support assay design. Identify and procure additional reagents required to develop assays. ·
Design and produce multi-component assay kits for retail distribution, including all required reagents, detailed protocols and example dataset. Provide technical expertise and support to customers to facilitate the successful use of assay kits. ·
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of product offerings and scientific developments relevant to customer applications. ·
Stay abreast of the latest advancements in UPS and TPD fields by regularly reviewing scientific literature and publications. Seek advice from subject matter experts to enhance knowledge, inform decision-making, and ensure the application of cutting-edge scientific approaches in designing and executing in vitro assays/applications.
Secondary Responsibilities
: ·
Assist in the development and optimization of recombinant protein production processes to ensure successful product launch. Collaborate with production team to validate manufacturing protocols, troubleshoot issues, and ensure product quality and consistency. ·
Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to ensure scientific accuracy of product descriptions. Prepare abstracts and present posters at scientific meetings.
Required Skills and Experience
: PhD in a scientific field (Biochemistry, Protein Chemistry) or related discipline, with 2-5 years of post-doctoral work. Extensive knowledge of the Ubiquitin Proteasome System. Expertise in design and implementation of in vitro enzymatic and proximity assays amenable to medium-to-high throughput screening campaigns (FP, HTRF, SPR, Alpha, etc). Significant experience with liquid handling and laboratory automation, including dataset management. Experience writing, editing, and creating various types of long- and short-form content. Strong written, verbal, analytical, research, and communication skills. Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple ongoing projects and meet deadlines. Meticulous attention to detail.
