Position Summary: The Mechanical Project Executive plays a pivotal leadership role in overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of commercial mechanical construction projects. This individual is responsible for managing client relationships, leading project teams, and ensuring that HVAC, plumbing, and piping systems are installed to the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in commercial construction and a strategic mindset to drive project success and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities: Project Oversight: Lead multiple commercial mechanical projects from pre-construction through closeout, ensuring alignment with scope, schedule, and budget.
Client Engagement: Act as the primary point of contact for commercial clients, developers, and general contractors; foster long-term relationships and ensure client satisfaction.
Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor project managers, engineers, and field personnel; promote collaboration and accountability across teams.
Financial Management: Develop and manage project budgets, forecasts, and cost reports; ensure profitability and timely billing.
Scheduling & Coordination: Oversee project schedules and coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams to meet milestones.
Quality & Safety Assurance: Ensure all mechanical systems meet code requirements and company standards; champion safety culture on job sites.
Strategic Planning: Support business development efforts by contributing to proposals, presentations, and client pitches for commercial projects.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field. 10+ years of experience in mechanical construction, with a strong focus on commercial projects. Proven leadership in managing HVAC, plumbing, and piping systems for office buildings, retail centers, and mixed-use developments. Strong financial and contractual acumen. Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills. Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Procore, MS Project, Bluebeam).
Preferred Qualifications: PMP certification or equivalent. LEED accreditation or experience with sustainable building practices. Familiarity with design-build and fast-track project delivery methods.
