while setting high standards at all times. Responsibilities High School diploma required, Degree in culinary arts or related field highly preferred. Be committed to and passionate about high food standards and service Three years of progressive experience in a full service, upscale dining concept! Assist in training new and existing kitchen staff on the preparation, arrangement and plating of dishes per the current menu Be experienced in setting up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies Proficiency using computers, including MS Excel and Outlook. Have an excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures Have accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks Demonstrated success in running a profitable kitchen. Demonstrated success in managing and motivating a team of employees. Be willing to work weekends and holidays Maintain a positive and professional attitude when dealing with all guests and team members Ability to work and make decisions in high pressure situations. Possess a valid food handler's card Excellent interpersonal, organizational and supervisory skills. Have experience working in a high-volume kitchen Enjoy working both independently and as part of a large team
