Title Administrative Assistant

Position Type Part Time 20-40 hours per week, Monday to Friday– Flexible hours between 8am and 5pm

Compensation $15-20 per hour depending upon background, experience, & qualifications/references

City, State Brookings, South Dakota

Northern Plains Appraisal LLC is recognized as a leader in the valuation of real estate in eastern South Dakota. Northern Plains Appraisal provides valuation services for estates, private and public entities, financial institutions, legal professionals, government agencies, land trusts, recreation groups, and private individuals.

Summary

  1. Accurately gather information for and complete tasks related to requests for appraisals, proposals, reports, consulting, data entry, and other support materials as directed and needed.
  2. Clerical duties including organizing, editing/printing/binding reports, gathering data, filing, scanning and uploading documents, copying, mailing, answering phones, etc., including review for grammar and sentence structure/review.
  3. Assist and lead with data research, collection of market data and public record searches as needed. Travel may be required in eastern SD.
  4. Assist and direct mailings and manage mailing data base. (AgWare – DataLog) (Microsoft and Adobe)
  5. Knowledge of report writing publishing software such as Adobe and Microsoft.
  6. Analysis ability for DataAnalytics.
  7. Ability to learn industry specific software programs, such as AgriData Surety mapping, AgWare, FEMA, NRCS Soils Mapper, USFW Wetlands Mapper, Land Voyage, Equalization/Assessor web sites, and other related appraisal and valuation software. Initial training will be provided. (AgWare – DataLog)
  8. Follow guidelines & policies. Be at work on time and maintain good attendance.
  9. Includes understanding of payroll, accounts receivable, and invoicing.
  10. Conduct work in a timely manner. Inspect own work and that of others; be able to proof for accuracy and make or recommend needed changes. Quickly learn new tasks and accurately and consistently complete repetitive tasks.
  11. Work effectively as a team member, work with little or no supervision, help when and where needed, make suggestions for process and product improvement, and communicate effectively with team members.
  12. Perform other professional responsibilities or tasks as needed or assigned.
