Overview
Verizon Retail Sales Associate (full-time) — grow your career with a team focused on unlocking your full potential and sales success within one of our retail stores. You’ll generate retail sales by using your passion for cutting-edge technology and exceptional customer service to expand the Verizon network, learn customers’ needs, position product insights, and close sales through effective communication.
What you’ll be doing
- Generate retail sales by leveraging your passion for technology and strong customer service.
- Learn and uncover customers’ needs by creating connections and asking the right questions.
- Position product insights and solution recommendations to provide customers with a complete top-down sales solution.
- Close sales by using effective communication to fulfill customer needs with simple and intuitive tech solutions.
- Continually develop through ongoing training and up-skill in merchandising and inventory operations.
- Grow your customer base by placing outbound calls and sending texts to current Verizon customers interested in products and services.
- Engage with the community outside of the store at Verizon-sponsored events to expand your loyal customer base.
We’re hiring immediately. This isn’t a typical entry-level retail position. Depending on experience, base pay ranges from $16.00 to $21.00 per hour, plus up to $16,000 per year in individual-based commissions if sales goals are met. Top performers can earn additional commissions and reach total annual compensation of $65,000 to $73,500+ (varies by geography, hours, and performance).

What we’re looking for
You’ll need to have:
- High school diploma or GED
- One or more years of relevant experience, demonstrated through work experience and/or military experience
- Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays (schedule known four weeks in advance)
- Openness to pick up additional shifts, typically during summer months, November–December, and peak vacation periods
Even better if you have one or more of the following:
- Experience in a commission-based environment
- Demonstrated sales experience communicating with customers to find solutions
- Customer service experience
