What you’ll be doing
- Generate retail sales by using your passion for cutting-edge technology and exceptional customer service to expand the Verizon network.
- Learn and uncover customers\' needs by creating connections and asking the right questions.
- Position product insights and solutions to provide customers with a complete top-down sales solution.
- Close sales by using strong communication skills to fulfill customer needs with simple and intuitive tech solutions.
- Continuously develop yourself through ongoing training and up-skill in merchandising and inventory.
- Grow your customer base by placing outbound calls and sending texts to current Verizon customers interested in our products and services.
- Engage with the community outside of the store to expand your loyal customer base, including at Verizon-sponsored events.
We’re hiring immediately. This isn\'t a typical entry-level retail position. You can earn $16.00 to $21.00 per hour in base pay, plus up to $16,000 a year in individual-based commissions if you hit all sales goals. Top performers could earn additional commissions, with potential total earnings ranging from $65,000+ to $73,500+ annually. Compensation varies by geography, hours worked, and performance.

What we’re looking for
You’ll need to have:
- High school diploma or GED
- One or more years of relevant experience (work experience and/or military experience)
- Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays (schedule provided four weeks in advance)
- Openness to pick up additional shifts and earn more income, typically during summer, and during peak vacation periods
Even better if you have one or more of the following:
- Experience in a commission-based environment
- Sales experience communicating with customers to find solutions
- Customer service experience

The starting base pay rate for the New York location(s) listed on this job requisition is $16.59 per hour.
