Overview

Join Verizon as a Retail Sales Associate. This full-time role offers the opportunity to grow your career with a team focused on unlocking your full potential and sales success within a retail store.

What you’ll be doing

  • Generate retail sales by using your passion for cutting-edge technology and exceptional customer service to expand the Verizon network.
  • Learn and uncover customers\' needs by creating connections and asking the right questions.
  • Position product insights and solution recommendations to provide customers with a complete top-down sales solution.
  • Close sales by using effective communication to fulfill customer needs with simple and intuitive tech solutions.
  • Continuously develop yourself through ongoing training and up-skill in merchandising and inventory operational functions.
  • Potential to grow your customer base by placing outbound calls and sending text messages to current Verizon customers who are interested in our products and services.
  • Engage with the community outside the store to expand your loyal customer base, including at off-site Verizon sponsored events.
  • Join Verizon today and be eligible for a $2,500 sign-on bonus (subject to terms and conditions).

Compensation: $16.00 to $21.00 per hour in base pay, plus potential commissions. Compensation varies by geography, hours worked, and performance.

This position offers opportunities for lateral or promotional moves within Verizon, based on performance and business needs.

What we’re looking for

You’ll need to have:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • One or more years of relevant experience (work experience and/or military)
  • Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays (schedule known four weeks in advance)
  • Openness to pick up additional shifts and earn more income, especially during peak seasons

Even better if you have:

  • Experience in a commission-based environment
  • Demonstrated sales experience and the ability to find solutions for customers
  • Customer service experience
