About the Role
At Claire’s, we are on a mission to be the global leader in ear piercing and self-expression. The Piercing Excellence Trainer (PET) Manager will be the driving force behind piercing performance across North America. This role will lead a team of 12 Regional Trainers who bring piercing expertise into the field, equipping store teams with the skills, confidence, and passion to deliver safe, stylish, and memorable experiences to every customer.
We are looking for a results-driven leader who blends technical excellence, inspirational training, and operational discipline to raise the standard of piercing conversion and penetration across our stores.
Key Responsibilities Leadership & Strategy Lead, coach, and inspire a team of 12 Regional Trainers across 6 territories (2 per region). Establish piercing excellence as a core business driver by embedding best practices into daily store routines. Partner cross-functionally with Operations, HR, and Field Leadership to align training with business objectives. Training & Development Design and deliver best-in-class piercing training that balances technical skill, customer experience, and compliance. Ensure trainers provide consistent in-field coaching, mentoring, and certification of store teams. Build capability in store teams to increase piercing conversion and penetration while elevating overall service culture. Performance & Results Own piercing KPIs, driving conversion, penetration, and attachment sales through targeted training and coaching. Track results regionally and across North America, analyzing data to identify opportunities, set priorities, and adjust training focus. Celebrate wins and hold accountability for performance improvement across the trainer team and stores. Safety & Compliance Ensure all training adheres to the highest standards of infection control, hygiene, and legislative compliance. Monitor and enforce consistent safety protocols in all piercing activity. Manage compliance with all state and provincial regulatory requirements for piercing, including licensing, certifications, and health/safety standards.
Qualifications & Experience Proven retail leader with experience leading field trainers, store managers, or multi-unit teams. Deep expertise in piercing or willingness to certify as a Claire’s Piercing Specialist. Strong training facilitation skills with the ability to inspire, motivate, and build capability. Results-driven mindset with demonstrated success improving performance metrics. Exceptional communication, coaching, and influence skills. Passion for fashion, jewelry, and customer self-expression. High attention to detail, especially in safety, hygiene, and compliance. Flexibility to travel extensively across regions.
