Overview

Our client is seeking a dedicated Construction Accountant in Delray, FL to take full ownership of all accounting operations within their growing firm. You’ll play a critical role in supporting executive decisions by maintaining detailed oversight of accounts, contracts, and construction-related financial activity. This position reports directly to the Controller and is ideal for someone ready to roll up their sleeves and become the go-to accounting expert inside a fast-paced, luxury residential construction company.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all accounting aspects
• Oversee AP/AR, General Ledger, Month-End Close, and bank reconciliations
• Maintain and reconcile CIP and WIP schedules
• Administer project cost tracking, bank draws, and construction loan compliance
• Partner with project managers to ensure accurate and timely contract and pay schedule management
• Develop deep familiarity with every project, contract, and financial schedule across the company

Qualifications

• 3–4+ years of hands-on construction accounting experience
• Proven experience in luxury residential construction (single-family and townhomes preferred)
• Proficiency in Sage Intacct and Procore highly desirable
• Strong understanding of construction loans, job costing, and project-based accounting
