Chetola Resort & Conference Center is hiring: Security Guard (Overnight) in Blow

Overview

Chetola Resort is seeking a professional and reliable Overnight Security Guard (10 PM – 6 AM) to ensure the safety, security, and peace of mind of guests, employees, and property during late evening and overnight hours. As the first in-person point of contact for many guests arriving late at night, you set the tone for their stay and provide a welcoming, safe environment.

Responsibilities

• Guest Welcome & Support: Serve as the first in-person welcome for arrivals; greet guests with warmth and professionalism; provide directions and assistance to ensure a smooth arrival; respond to guest concerns with professionalism and discretion; maintain a calm, approachable presence.
• Safety & Security Oversight: Patrol resort grounds, parking areas, and facilities; monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas; conduct regular checks of doors, windows, and public spaces; respond promptly to alarms, disturbances, or unusual activity.
• Operations & Reporting: Document guest interactions and incidents in detailed reports; communicate effectively with management and emergency services; assist with emergency response procedures including evacuations and medical calls; enforce resort policies respectfully.

Requirements

• Ability to stay alert and focused during overnight hours (10 PM – 6 AM); able to work overnight shift at least 3 times per week
• Prior experience in customer service, hospitality, or security preferred
• Strong communication and conflict-resolution skills
• Must be physically able to walk, stand, and patrol for extended periods
• Availability to work overnights, including weekends and holidays
• Friendly, approachable, and guest-focused; calm under pressure; dependable and attentive with strong observational skills
