Overview

The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for the Employee Experience, including finding candidates to fill open roles, onboarding and performance management. This role serves as a key business partner to management and employees, providing comprehensive human resources support across the full employee lifecycle. The HR Generalist will manage end-to-end recruiting processes, drive standardized HR practices, and serve as a trusted advisor on employee relations matters. This position will make a significant impact on our organizational culture and talent acquisition strategy while supporting our commitment to operational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Manage full-cycle recruiting for all positions, from job posting through offer negotiation and acceptance
  • Partner with hiring managers and Director of HR to understand staffing needs and develop efficient and effective recruitment strategies
  • Source, screen, and interview candidates using various channels and methodologies
  • Coordinate and facilitate the entire interview process including interviews, technical tryouts, skills assessments and candidate travel
  • Regularly source candidates through various channels including job boards, employee referrals, LinkedIn, career events etc. to fill open positions and build pipelines
  • Maintain accurate candidate records and provide regular recruiting metrics and updates

Onboarding & Training Coordination

  • Design and execute comprehensive and consistent onboarding programs for new hires
  • Coordinate with Training and Development team to ensure the development of and transition to individualized training plans
  • Ensure all new hire documentation, system access, and orientation activities are completed timely
  • Monitor onboarding effectiveness and make continuous improvements to the process
  • Develop, update, and maintain accurate job descriptions across all positions
  • Create and standardize interview questions and evaluation criteria for consistent hiring practices
  • Assist in the development and documentation of policies, processes and strategies related to recruiting, onboarding and performance management
  • Manage and optimize the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) for efficient workflow

Employee Relations & Performance Management

  • Serve as first point of contact for employee questions and concerns
  • Conduct preliminary investigations into employee relations issues and escalate to the HR Director as needed
  • Partner with managers to address performance concerns and develop improvement plans
  • Provide guidance on disciplinary actions, policy interpretation, and best practices
  • Support conflict resolution and mediation efforts

Administrative & Compliance Support

  • Maintain employee files and ensure data accuracy in HRIS systems
  • Support compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
  • Track and report on HR metrics and analytics for leadership team
  • Participate in special projects and initiatives as assigned

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in a Human Resources role or equivalent experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • SHRM-CP and/or PHR a plus
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Excel, social media and HRIS and ATS systems (experience with Paylocity a plus)
  • Experience with full-cycle recruiting in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with various recruiting platforms and social media sourcing technique
  • Understanding of employment law and HR compliance requirements
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with ability to build rapport at all organizational levels
  • Excellent organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities for complex employee relations situations
  • High degree of confidentiality, integrity, and professional judgment
  • Detail-oriented approach with strong analytical skills
  • Adaptability and flexibility in a dynamic work environment
  • Strong initiative and ability to drive results
  • Standard business hours with occasional extended hours during peak recruiting periods and occasional travel to other locations as needed

Compensation
