JOB SUMMARY: The HR Field Representative manages a variety of tasks related to employee relations, recruitment, and administration. The HR Rep is responsible for ensuring that HR policies are followed, maintaining employee records, and ensuring compliance with labor laws.

Responsibilities

  • Provide HR support at our field locations with regards to Onboarding/Orientation, Employee Relations, Recruitment, Benefits, Workers Compensation, Training, HR Compliance and HR Audits.
  • Attend local career fairs.
  • Manage and support recruitment efforts through Corporate HR for all exempt/nonexempt personnel for both direct employees and contractors.
  • Recruitment includes posting job ads, dispositioning candidates, prescreening, scheduling interviews, creating offer letters, launching background checks and tracking DOT Drug Testing for safety sensitive hires.
  • Support corporate training objectives to ensure training modules are accomplished timely.
  • Manage the outsource of vendors, maintaining contractor relations, policies, and procedures.
  • Maintain local Human Resource records and compile reports from database as requested.
  • Assist in timekeeping functions.
  • Employee file maintenance - entering and terminating employees and contractors in HRIS system.
  • Support Benefits administration initiatives and communication.
  • Responsible for ensuring IT provisioning is ready for new hire’s first day.
  • Responsible for presenting new hire orientation to all new employees and contractors.
  • Assist employees with FMLA and Short/Long term disability requests.
  • Assist departments in writing and updating job descriptions as required and coordinating job postings.
  • Oversee the completion and submittal of expense reports and coordinate travel.
  • Sort incoming mail.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned to meet business needs.

Requirements

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; not required (in related field)
  • Two years of HR, Recruitment, Onboarding and HR experience

Skills and Abilities:

  • Must have the ability to proactively resolve problems or issues, by using judgment that is consistent with standards, practices, policies, procedures, regulation, or government law.
  • Understand work planning and employment laws.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work.
  • Ability to work efficiently under stressful conditions.
  • Proficient with current software packages such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Access.
  • Available for travel.
