About Food & Beverage
The Food & Beverage team enables a consistent experience for our guests by ensuring product is fresh, in stock, available and accurately priced and signed on the sales floor. They are experts of operations, process and efficiency. This team leads food and food services including replenishment, inventory accuracy, food safety, presentation, pricing and promotional signing processes for all Food & Beverage areas of the store.
Position: Starbucks Barista
As a Starbucks Barista, you will provide handcrafted beverages and food to specifications, engage with guests, and support various guest services while maintaining food safety and quality standards. All duties based on business needs.
Responsibilities
- Deliver an exceptional guest experience by providing a fresh and abundant shopping experience during all hours of operations, prioritizing the guest’s needs over task
- Uphold and maintain the execution of Food & Beverage Standards
- Execute food and beverage processes including deliveries, replenishment, in-stocks routines, data accuracy, culling, rotation, cleaning, signing, organizing, and storing reserve product
- Be aware of current and future promotions within Starbucks
- Follow Target and Starbucks routines to deliver a consistent guest experience while completing tasks efficiently and maintaining food safety
- Support the Starbucks Drive Up process to fulfill digital guest orders accurately and on time
- Maintain an inviting dining area for guests during shifts
- Engage with guests to meet and exceed their expectations
- Produce handcrafted beverages and foods to recipe specifications
- Follow all food safety requirements and monitor temperature-sensitive items
- Complete and record cleaning tasks in the Starbucks space
- Identify damaged, recalled or expired items and process per best practices
- Ensure accurate in-stocks by placing store-initiated orders
- Follow perishable inventory procedures for accurate recording
- Execute sampling best practices
- Know the tools, products, and services available to solve guest issues
- Complete required training and certifications related to quality control of Starbucks products
- Demonstrate ethical conduct, safety and compliance
- Work safely, report hazards, and comply with safety policies
- Support guest services such as back-up cashier, order pickup and Drive-up while complying with adult beverage laws
- Greet guests and create a welcoming experience
- Assist guests to solve their needs and thank them for shopping with us

Qualifications
- Previous Starbucks/food service experience preferred, but not required
- Welcoming attitude toward guests and team members
- Ability to communicate on multiple devices and operate scanners and technology
- Ability to work independently and with a team
- Attention to detail and ability to follow multi-step processes
- Ability to stay focused in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks
Additional Basics
- Ability to handle cash register operations as needed
- Ladder climbing as required
- Ability to lift up to 44 pounds and handle merchandise safely
- Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, holidays; reliable attendance
- Ability to work in varying temperatures and environments
- Comfort with potential allergens present in some areas
- Mobility for duration of shift
