ALL ABOUT FOOD & BEVERAGE The Food & Beverage team ensures a consistent guest experience by keeping product fresh, in stock, accurately priced, and signed on the sales floor. They are experts in operations, process, and efficiency. This team leads food and food services including replenishment, inventory accuracy, food safety, presentation, pricing, and promotional signing for all Food & Beverage areas of the store.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver an exceptional guest experience, connecting with guests to create quality handcrafted beverages and food during all hours of operations, prioritizing the guest’s needs over task
  • Uphold and maintain the execution of the Food and Beverage Standards, all Starbucks brand standards, and food safety standards
  • Execute food and beverage processes, including deliveries, replenishment, stocking, zoning, in-stocks routines, data accuracy, culling, rotation, cleaning, defect, signing and backstock
  • Maintain awareness of all promotional activities within Starbucks
  • Follow Target and Starbucks routines to deliver a consistent Starbucks experience while driving efficiency and maintaining food safety
  • Support the Starbucks Drive Up process to fulfill digital guest orders accurately and on time
  • Maintain an inviting dining area for guests
  • Engage with guests to meet and exceed expectations according to Starbucks standards
  • Produce items to specifications on production cards and follow department routines
  • Monitor and record temperature-sensitive food items
  • Complete and record all cleaning tasks in the Starbucks space
  • Follow packaging and labeling guidelines for food products
  • Follow all food safety requirements as outlined by best practices
  • Identify damaged, recalled, or expired items and process according to best practices
  • Ensure accurate in-stocks by placing store-initiated orders according to best practices
  • Follow perishable inventory procedures for accurate recording
  • Execute sampling best practices
  • Create a welcoming experience by greeting all guests
  • Observe and respond to guest needs with appropriate questions and assistance
  • Be knowledgeable about tools, products, and services available to solve issues and improve guest experience
  • Thank the guest and express appreciation for shopping at Target
  • Complete required Starbucks trainings related to quality control
  • Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance
  • Work safely and identify hazards while complying with safety policies
  • Support guest services such as back-up cashier, order pick up, and Drive-up while adhering to relevant laws
  • All other duties based on business needs

Qualifications

  • Willing to work weekends and busy days (not just Monday through Friday) and be welcoming, inspired, and rewarded
  • Training and skills
  • Previous Starbucks/food service experience preferred, but not required
  • Welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and team members
  • Ability to communicate on multiple devices and operate handheld scanners and other equipment
  • Work independently and as a team
  • Resolve guest questions quickly on the spot
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow multi-step processes
  • Remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment and accomplish multiple tasks
  • Physical and scheduling basics
  • Handle cash register operations as needed
  • Climb ladders; lift or move merchandise up to 44 pounds
  • Flexible work schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Work in environments with varying temperatures and potential allergens
  • Ability to be mobile for the duration of a shift
