Position Title: Recruiter Generalist
Department: Human Resources
Reports to: Vice President of Human Resources
Position Objective and Summary:
The Recruiter Generalist will be responsible for executing both administrative and strategic human resource functions. This role will manage staffing, onboarding, employee development, compliance with employment laws, and employee relations. Key responsibilities include hiring, administering pay and benefits, managing performance, and ensuring that company policies are consistently enforced.

Work Environment: Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds. Must be able to navigate between departments within the organization's facilities.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Hiring: Recruit, interview, and hire qualified candidates for open positions, working with managers to understand role requirements.
- Onboarding: Administer new hire orientation programs to ensure smooth transitions for new employees.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with local and national regulations and employment laws, including anti-harassment, safety training, and certifications.
- Training: Review, track, and document compliance with all required training, such as safety and anti-harassment programs.
- Performance: Assist with performance evaluations and manage employee performance, providing guidance to managers when necessary.
- Benefits: Administer employee benefits, compensation, and leave, ensuring all plans are compliant and effectively communicated.
- Policies: Develop, implement, and enforce HR policies and procedures to align with company standards and legal requirements.
- Employee Relations: Guide management in handling employee relations and performance management issues, ensuring fair and consistent application of policies.
- Employee Experience: Implement and support initiatives aimed at improving the overall employee experience and workplace culture.
- Payroll: Assist with payroll processing, including making updates to employee files, managing bonus and incentive pay, and ensuring accuracy in payments.
- Communication: Create and distribute internal communications to ensure employees are informed of important updates and policies.
- Employee Handbook: Assist with communication, interpretation, and ongoing updates to the employee handbook.
- Disciplinary Action: Address violations of company policies, administering appropriate disciplinary action as needed to maintain compliance and a positive work environment.
- Recruitment Process: Develop, facilitate, and implement all phases of the recruitment process, leveraging effective sourcing strategies.
- Employee Recognition: Implement employee recognition programs to boost morale and engagement.
- Employee Investigations: Participate in employee disciplinary meetings, investigations, and terminations as needed.
- HR Compliance: Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
- Record Keeping: Review, track, and document mandatory training, professional licensure, certifications, and employee assessments to maintain compliance with industry standards.
- Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned to support the HR department's operational needs.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required.
- At least one year of human resource management experience preferred.
- Minimum one year of recruitment experience.
- SHRM-CP or PHR certification is a plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills with effective negotiation and conflict resolution tactics.
- Ability to develop and implement sourcing strategies for diverse roles.
- Proactive and independent with strong initiative.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines consistently.
- Familiarity with laws, regulations, and best practices related to hiring, recruitment, and HR compliance.
- Proficiency in applicant-tracking software, HRIS systems, and Microsoft Office Suite or related tools.
