We are seeking a motivated
Controls Technician
with 1–3 years of experience to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will support the operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of automation and control systems that keep our production processes running efficiently. This position is hands-on and critical to ensuring equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities Perform troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of PLCs, HMIs, sensors, motors, drives, and related automation equipment. Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment and control systems. Diagnose and resolve control system issues, including input/output faults, wiring, and programming errors. Support process improvements by implementing small modifications to controls logic under engineer guidance. Document repairs, changes, and maintenance activities accurately. Collaborate with engineers, maintenance, and production teams to improve equipment reliability and efficiency. Ensure compliance with safety standards, company policies, and best practices. Qualifications Associate’s degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, Mechatronics, Industrial Automation, or related field (or equivalent experience). hands-on experience in a manufacturing or industrial controls environment. Working knowledge of PLCs (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar) and HMIs. Familiarity with industrial networks (Ethernet/IP, Profibus, DeviceNet, etc.) is a plus. Ability to read electrical schematics and technical documentation. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Willingness to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented manufacturing environment. Preferred Skills Experience with robotics, vision systems, or SCADA systems. Basic programming or modification of PLC ladder logic. Preventive maintenance and root cause analysis exposure.
