Import Coordinator

to support the U.S. Supply Chain Operations team. This hybrid role will be based in Dallas, TX and plays a key part in ensuring shipments are cleared and delivered efficiently and in full compliance with customs and FDA regulations. The initial contract is 4 months, with the potential for extension depending on business needs and performance. Position Summary The Import Coordinator is responsible for managing import shipments, coordinating with customs brokers and freight forwarders, verifying tariff classifications (HTS codes), and ensuring full compliance with U.S. Customs regulations. You’ll serve as the logistics lead in cross-functional meetings and collaborate with teams across supply planning, global customer service, and distribution operations. Key Responsibilities Represent U.S. Logistics in all import and tariff-related project meetings Ensure accurate application of HTS codes and tariff classifications for U.S. imports Coordinate documentation and clearance with customs brokers and freight forwarders Monitor first sale declaration requirements and documentation where applicable Track and report import KPIs, including shipment timelines and tariff financials Ensure all imports comply with U.S. Customs and FDA requirements Collaborate across internal departments and external logistics partners to resolve delays or issues Maintain documentation standards and support audits or compliance reviews as needed Required Qualifications Minimum 3 years of experience in supply chain, logistics, or customs brokerage Direct experience with U.S. Customs Brokerage is required Strong knowledge of HTS codes and import tariff application is required Experience working with freight forwarders and brokers in a global logistics environment Experience supporting or managing

first sale declarations

is preferred Proficient in Microsoft Excel and reporting tools ERP/WMS system experience (Oracle preferred) Excellent communication, organizational, and coordination skills Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, compliance-driven setting Work Environment Hybrid: 3 days on-site, 2 days remote Office location: Dallas, TX May involve limited travel (less than 5%) Occasional movement between office and distribution or warehouse areas This is a strong opportunity for someone with deep import knowledge and hands-on experience in customs compliance.
