About the Position:
We are working with a Midwest-based Am Law firm that has an active need for a real estate finance lawyer (2-6 yrs) to join its Chicago office as an associate. This firm’s real estate group is a core practice of the firm and handles all aspects of real estate deals, from acquisition through development, debt and equity financing, leasing, and disposition. The practice is Chambers-ranked and is recognized by Legal 500 and Best Law Firms.

Responsibilities: · Handle loan origination work for large structured commercial real estate finance transactions, including mezzanine loans and preferred equity, asset management, and workout experience · Run transactions on behalf of lenders from inception through closing and post-closing, including secondary market repurchase facility work and other exit strategies
Required Qualifications: · 2-6 years of real estate finance experience · Large law firm experience · Strong academic credentials and writing
Location: Chicago, IL (Hybrid)
Compensation: The anticipated base salary range for this position is $240,000 - $390,000.
